Forty years later, we go back
In August 1984, André-François Bourbeau and Jacques Montminy were dropped by helicopter into an isolated sector near the Pipmuacan Reservoir, about 200 km north of Chicoutimi. They had only the clothes they were wearing.
The rules were absolute: no means of starting a fire, no shelter, no tools (not even a knife), no food. Thirty-one days later, they walked out alive — having documented human physiology and behavior under extreme survival conditions for a scientific research project.
Forty-three years later, we take on that same challenge with the same rules, the same scientific rigor, and modern documentation: independent witnesses, live GPS tracking, continuous video, and notarized records.
